2 things: will you join us for lunch this month, and can you help count BBQ tickets?
For the latter, 6 volunteers are needed on Sunday, June 16th, from 9am til 1pm (last year it took us a bit less than 4 hours). You will get $10 worth of tickets and a T-shirt. The money we get from the town for undertaking this task goes directly to our scholarship fund for highschool graduates. If you can help please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
Now, on to lunch:
This month we are delighted to welcome Andy Searl, President of Staying in Summit (SIS). She has lived and worked overseas for over 30 years with her husband and family of 3 boys. Andy retired from working in an International Moving Company during her time in Washington, D..C. Upon retirement, she moved with my youngest son to Vail before moving to Summit County in 2005.
Andy has been active with the Senior Board for 5 years, involved with her church, St.John’s in Breck, on the Inter-Faith Council, delivers Meals on Wheels through the Senior Center, an avid Bridge player and loves to ski. She has worked on Senior Housing since 2006 and last year a group of older adults formed SIS, Staying in Summit a non-profit needed in Summit County.
“I am looking forward to talking to the Women of the Summit!” – Andy
