County Commissioner Gibbs will provide us with an introduction to the upcoming summer transportation projects. While these projects are aimed at providing significant improvements for our roads and trails, this summer will be like no other, in terms of careful planning, navigating and communicating to avoid being caught in traffic stoppages due to construction. Get the inside scoop on what to expect, and how to plan your life, your business, your travel and communication to clients, friends and family to best enjoy this summer!
County Commissioner Dan Gibbs is the Chair of the Colorado Counties Transportation Steering Committee, the I-70 Coalition and the Summit Stage Board. He represents Summit County on the Intermountain Transportation Committee. Dan is a long time leader in state-wide transportation issues. As our state Senator and Representative he sponsored a number of successful transportation bills that have improved our state road infrastructure investments and safety with a focus on decreasing congestion on I-70. Dan sponsored a number of transportation bills that became law like the Trucker Chain Up bill and FASTER. Dan travels by bicycle, bus and vehicle around Summit County. He also travels by foot and has received awards for his moonwalking steps in Summit County.
