WOTS October 18, 2012 Monthly Luncheon

Please join us for our monthly luncheon on Thursday October 18th when Lindsey Shorthouse will be presenting  Get The Know! Marketing and Sales Tools in the High Country ~ Just in time the Holiday Selling Season.”  Lindsey will take us through a brief overview of co-marketing and educational opportunities through the SBDC and affiliate groups like Summit Independent Business Alliance, Summit Chamber of Commerce, Summit Rotary Club, and Colorado Community College. Bring your calendar and if you have other opportunities to share during the holiday season we can all benefit from co-marketing our services.  

Lindsey Shorthouse’s entrepreneurial spirit has guided many small-mid size companies and not for profit organizations to not only realize their goals but surpass expectations on many levels. Lindsey has a wide-reaching vision for developing and delivering organizational messages and projects that her boundless energy and innovative ideas makes her a valuable member of any team looking to expand their reach or generate sales.

Her graduate studies work in conservation led her into politics, as Campaign Manager for the Mayor of Salt Lake City (2002).  Following the successful campaign, Lindsey trained with the USSA freestyle aerial ski team out of Park City while developing marketing and business strategies for an IT services company that quickly expanded and then sold in 2005.  Since moving to Colorado, Lindsey has led marketing and fundraising efforts for several nonprofits while receiving her Realtors license to focus on affordable and green developments. She is known to sell in a depressed market at an amazing rate due to her personal touch and attention to detail.

Lindsey’s vision is to connect the many State, Federal,  Local and Private partners looking to promoting Small Business Owners to create more jobs and more capitol in our community.  Through these partnerships, Lindsey hopes to elevate the course of business structure by working “hand in hand” with these organizations to improve their Social, Economic, and Environmental performance and impact… 

Lindsey recently took on the role as “our” North-West Small Business Development Leader through a partnership of the State of Colorado and Colorado Mountain College.  In 2012 she  received the Summit Independent Business Alliance Leadership Award, chairs the Organizational Advancement Committee for Continental Divide Land Trust, Co-chair the Urban Land Institute’s Speaker Series and recently accepted the Treasure Position for the Woman of the Summit.
